"THESE SHOES WERE MADE FOR WALKIN"

In our first watercolor class at the Upstairs Gallery in Arlington, Texas
http://www.upstairsartgallery/ this session we painted
a pair of little boy's Oxford Dress Shoes.
Martha Sue, one of the owners of the gallery kept her son's shoes from
when he was a small boy and has them on a shelf in the art room.
Our watercolor project for the class was to paint the
navy blue and white Oxford shoes.
I had taken a photo and shared with the class.
Here is my painting of the shoes and
each class member interpreted the shoes in their own way.
Below are the result of our Wed. afternoon watercolor class.  I apologize
for not getting pictures of the morning class's work.  Their paintings were
just as creative as the ones pictured below.

Patty painted the Oxford shoes in the morning class
and stayed over for the afternoon class and painted Mary Jane shoes.

Joan opted to paint a lovely landscape!

The classes homework was to paint one of their children's or
grandchildren's or husband's or friend's pair of shoes.  I wonder
who will do their homework this week.  Will  let you know next Wednesday.

Come back to see the next art project, class project or painting........
