Christopher's Room has a Nautical Theme

Our grandson, Christopher, has boats, clipper ships and sail boats floating around his room. There is a Light House to guide all these boats, Pruske's Bait Shop to get worms to go fish off of Whittington's Warf. There is a little mermaid, a whale and a big pelican watching from a big pylon. A compass over the window and a bridge through the closet and to finish the nautical theme, the scripture verse, "If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me. Your right hand will hold me fast." Psalm 139:9-10

Trains, Planes, Boats and Automobiles

Trains go all around my grandson Andrew's room. There is Drew's Depot, Whittington's Whistle Stop Cafe at the Boerne, Tx. Inn, a sign that points to the mountains in Cuchara, Colorado, where a road leads to the Spanish Peaks and a black bear is waving, another sign that points to Fort Worth, Australia, San Antonio and Boerne, a tunnel that goes through the closet door and the A and E Railroad Train Line (for mom and dad, Angie and Eddie). A scripture below Andrew's name on the wall reads "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. " This scripture is repeated on a trunk Grammy.

My grandson, Christopher, has a nautical theme in his room, lots of boats, ships, a light house and more. Little boys, trains, boats, planes and cars go together. Christopher's room will be featured in my next post. Come back soon and visit MW Murals and More! Thanks for dropping by.

Emma's Room

This is a baby girl's room with a motif over the crib
with a scripture within the motif. The border for the
motif was designed from the toile fabric in the crib
quilt. It was a pale pink, beige and cream design with
cherubs within the borders. The walls of Emma's
room were painted a pale pink and I used a cream
and beige monochromatic color scheme on the motif.
Emma's Mom and both Grandmom's loved it!!!
That always makes me happy.

A Painting by Phil

My husband dabbles in oil painting. I am sharing one of his recent paintings.

Nursery Mural

This is my first attempt at blogging. It is Sunday morning, 9:30 am. I am usually in Church at this time on a Sunday but today I am home sick with a cold and cough. Didn't want to spread my germs so I am blogging.

I am attempting to post some photos of a baby boy's nursery that I painted this past week. The colors of the nursery are red, tan and blue. The walls in the room are kaki. The mom wanted a tree with a little boy in a swing and a toy firetruck for one of the grandads, a toy tractor for the other grandad and a race car for the Dad. Over the crib is the baby's name Cole on blocks with the fabic details of the baby's quilt repeated in the blocks.
