CHRISTMAS FUN!

FRIENDS AND CHRISTMAS FUN DAY!
Two of my creative friends, Patty and Janet, and I got together
for a Creative Play Day this week.
We cut and pasted, stamped and glittered all day long.
Patty made a delicious lunch of corn chowder and I brought
Jiffy corn bread, fruit and cookies for dessert.
Here are some Christmas gift tags I made with the
the inspiration of my creative buddies.
I decided to hang the tags on my tree since
they were so festive!

Visit again soon to see more art projects and paintings.

Playing with Oil Pastels

Canvas by Canvas, a group of artists who enjoy painting
together experimented and played with oil pastels this past week
at the Upstairs Gallery in Arlington, Texas.  One of the owners of
the gallery, Martha Sue Meek gave us some tips on technique and then
we were off and running.  Nancy Standlee did a cactus oil pastel,
Barbara Hackney worked on two landscapes, Mary Ann Stephens
did some figures while Betty Taylor painted some white ducks,
Karen Foster worked on a spiral shell design.
We all had fun and as usual learned a lot from each other.

The following "FUNKY BIRDS" are what I worked on,  all are
painted with Oil Pastels.
