Oil Paintings by Margie Whittington

ENCHANTED ROCK
9 x 12
Oil on Canvas

WILLOW CITY LOOP
8 X 10
Oil on Canvas

A group of painters
called Outdoor Painters Society
painted in and around the Fredericksburg, Texas
area a couple of weekends ago in April. It was great fun
to go outside on location to paint the georgeous landscapes
of the hill country.

One especially pretty area is Willow CityLoop
a short drive to the north of Fredericksburg.
The painting below
is the entrance to a home on the loop. The
entrance was so interesting with the rock
formations and flowers. Everything was
budding out in rich dark greens and bright lime greens.

It is "God's Country" to quote a gentelman
who lives on Willow City Loop.

WILLOW CITY LOOP
8 x 10 Oil on Textured Canvas

There will be a few more paintings to come when I finish them.
One is a Mesquite tree just blooming. The other is a scene along the
Pedernalis River.
Come back soon to view the finished paintings.

Beautiful Margie, I love the Enchanted Rock, I used to climb all over it as a child, it was one of our favorite places to go with my grandparents when they lived in Mason. bg

What wonderful paintings and a perfect time to be in the Hill country painting with your group of "artsy" friends. Thank you for sharing you talents!
With love, Pcasso

I love the colors you used in "Enchanted Rock" and you are "excused" from our TUG demo while enjoying this beautiful countryside.
