Paintings with Plastic Wrap Texture

Both my Woman's Club Watercolor Classes and
The Upstairs Gallery Watercolor Classes have been
experimenting with watercolor and plastic wrap to
create unusual textures.  Some of the textures
created look like trees in a forest, some ocean waves and
others like cliffs in a landscape.
The following are a few of my demo paintings
painted in classes this past week.

"Aspen Forest"
10"x10"
Watercolor
$100

"Ocean Waves"
5"x7"
Watercolor
$65

"Cliffs"
7"x9"
Watercolor
$75

"Forest Reflections"

Watercolor
$75

So this plastic wrap texture - is that just a style of painting or do you actually use plastic in some way? It looks amazing.

I place plastic wrap on wet watercolor paint and let it set a few minutes . The texture of the plastic wrap remains when the plastic wrap is peeled off. Thanks for your comment.

Your pictures are very soft and delicate. I love the subtle textures. Beautiful work.
