The 11 x 15 watercolor paper was divided into 9 sections.
After a few quick drawings, each
subject was painted with
a wet into wet technique, let dry and details added.
The mirror is hot pink with black zebra stripes to match the shelf. The trash receptacle and the drawer knobs from the dresser are all done in hot pink and the knobs have the black stripes.
Here is a close up of the trash receptacle and the drawer knobs. Pretty cool for
A PRETTY PINK ZEBRA ROOM !

ODDS AND ENDS - RECENT ART PROJECTS
I haven't been painting murals lately, but I have been busy with several art projects.
This fall sign painting of Psalm 100: 4 with pumpkin motifs and in autumn colors was painted for a display at Dallas Baptist University.
I have been working on a calligraphy job of addressing 250 wedding envelopes for a wedding in January, 2008. The invitations are being mailed before Thanksgiving. This takes a steady hand and a lot of quiet uninterrupted time.
Williams Pyro Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas established a fund for injured firemen and their families several years ago. An annual chili cook-off at the Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine brings in many contributions for this important fund. This boot was a prize for the first place, Novice division in the "Stop, Drop and Roll Chili Cook-Off" I painted the hot chili motif and the lettering on the real fireman's boot.
A 6" x 6" Baby Boy Bootee
This small acrylic painting was painted for a new baby boy. To personalize the little painting, the baby's name and birth date were added.
